This one had a lot of moving pieces - and a little bit of heart. The original structure had run its course, and the owners were ready to start fresh with something built right from the ground up. That means before any new construction could happen, the old house had to come down. Clean, controlled, and completely cleared.
We handled the full structural demolition first. Taking down a two-story home isn't just swinging a bucket and walking away. It takes planning - knowing how the structure will come apart, managing debris as it falls, and keeping the surrounding trees and property intact. On a wooded lot like this one, that matters a lot.
Once the demo was done, we moved into foundation excavation and site preparation. The CASE CX130D and Bobcat T595 were both on-site working the cut, shaping the earth to the specs needed for the new foundation. Getting the grade right at this stage is what sets every other trade up for success - framing, drainage, landscaping, all of it depends on what we do here.
Now the new build is up and nearly finished. The yard is rough-graded and ready for the landscapers to take it from a construction site to a finished property. That's exactly where we want to be at the end of a job like this - handed off clean, on grade, and ready for the next crew to do their thing. Proud of how this one came together in Tonka Bay.
